What's your name? L: Luis Morales Hi Luis, we're doing a project on City Heights and what's your impression about it, so the first question is: what impression do you get about City Heights? L: Well, I mean, I grew up here, I was born here. I was born and raised here. City Heights is very ghetto, I would say, but its got a lot of heart The people here, the religions, everything is amazing. Growing up here, what kind of people did you surround yourself with as a kid? L: Growing up in City Heights is like a small town, kind of. There's lots and lots of religions, you get to know a lot of people, you get to know about different cultures, so you basically surround yourself by people around the world. They say City Heights is where all the cultures meet. What kind of vibe does it give you? L:It gives me a positive vibe, actually. You take pride where you come from. I remember playing sports here when we would go to play other schools where there's really not colored people, like, people from different areas, like they would be surprised that we can actually behave ourselves and we're well-mannered, and like, you know, that's the kind of thoughts lots of people have on City Heights, but that's not the case. So they think negatively about City Heights? L: They think we're just ghetto people, but nah. So in City Heights, what specific location do you like to hang out with your friends and you know, have a good time? L: I hang out at Colina Park, and that's where everybody hangs out. That's where basketball players hang out, football players, soccer players, everybody. OK, thanks Luis.
